Hello there Miss Ink friends! It's Kerry here and I'm excited to share my first project with you on the Miss Ink Stamps Blog. If you know me, you know that I LOVE coffee soooo much! It is only right for my inaugural post to be one featuring COFFEE! I decided to make my coffee creation feature a few favorite stamps, a fun stencil and some yummy glitter.
I started out by grabbing the fun Mouse Flower Stencil and blending some clear embossing ink onto a piece of light lavender cardstock. I applied clear embossing powder to the panel and then heat set. After that, I tore the bottom of the paper to create a distressed edge. Next, I attached a tiny strip of teal cardstock to the underside of this panel and then tore the edge. I took an additonal strip of teal cardstock and applied some glue so that I could adhere the yummy Fairy Dust Dazzle Dust glitter. YUM!
I mounted this whole panel onto a piece of white cardstock and then attached some silver and teal ribbon before setting it aside to work on the stamped flowers and sentiment.
I stamped several florals from the Gardenia stamp set and then colored with Copic markers. I used the following colors to get a beautiful blend on the flowers: BV0000, BV00, BV02, V01, RV0000. For the yummy color coordinated leaves, I used the following colors: BG15, G02, B01, BG70. For the yellow centers, I used Y23. I also added some White Gelly Roll ink for highlights.
After fussy cutting the flowers and leaves, I decided to add a fun leafy mug and latte sentiment to the card. I pulled the gorgeous Brewtiful stamp set and stamped the mug and the sentiment onto white cardstock and then colored with the same colors. I also added the brown ink for the coffee. After fussy cutting the mug, I added foam squares to all the images and started arranging them to my liking around the sentiment panel. Once finished, I mounted this floral panel to the card using foam squares.
To finish the card off, I mounted the whole decorated panel to a teal card base (with my favorite topfold) and called it complete! Isn't the shine/sparkle just delish?
Thanks for hopping over to check out my project! I hope it inspires you to create something pretty today!
