Hello Miss Inkers! Welcome back to the blog. Ali here with a sweet interactive squirrel card where the little squirrel pops up from behind the pile of nuts. This will be perfect for Valentine's Day! I have used the Oh Nuts! stamp set to create this little cutie!
It's quite a simple card - I began by stamping and colouring my images (nuts colooured with E99, E35, E17, E34, E53). I then coloured a white cardpiece with Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Ink. I cut this piece down with a stitched rectangle die. I used the let's toast pull tab add on from Lawn Fawn to create a slot in this piece.
I used the other pull tab elements to cut a notch in the top and cut a pull tab.
I placed in the slider tab and adhered the quirrel to it.
I then created a rough triangle shaped cardpiece to attach the nuts to.I placed it over the squirrel to check it would be the right size.
I adhered the nuts to the piece as shown below to create a pile for the squirrel to hide behind.
I placed 3D foam on the back of this triangle making sure it did not get in the way of the slider movement of the squirrel. I adhered a nut to the squirrels head so that he appears to be part of the nut-pile.
I adhered the piece to a white card base with 3D foam to a white card base. A few leaves added and the card was done!
Thanks for joining us and hope you visit again soon.
Ali xx
