Hello! It's no secret rainbows are popping up everywhere especially in cardmaking. I adore rainbow colors and thought why not use one of the fabulous stencils called Halftone Lines Bold Edges Stencil.
After taping my white cardstock panel to the stencil with painters tape making sure it was straight, I counted out how many lines I wanted each color of the rainbow. I went with 5. I masked off my top section (pink) and ink blended Distress Ink down the entire area of lines making sure to go with the flow of the stencil lines. After each color, I simply moved the tape down and blended the next color. Since my rainbow panel was a bit short, I added a thin strip of black cardstock to the bottom. This whole panel was added to a white notecard with foam adhesive leaving just a bit of the white notecard at the bottom.
Distress Inks: Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint, Peacock Feathers, and Dusty Concord.
I wanted to keep the focus on the ink blended rainbow but give a bold pop of black. The coffee cup from Brewtiful was white heat embossed onto black cardstock along with a heart from Punny Farm Goats. The cup was hand trimmed out and added with black foam adhesive onto a sentiment strip stamped with 'You Mocha Me Happy'. As a finishing touch, a few clear droplets were added more for shine to keep the focus on the rainbow and cup.
Thanks for sharing a part of your day with me!
