Making a sympathy card is never easy but using the Magnolia Sympathy stamps from Miss Ink Stamps will make it a bit easier. This stamp set is good with a little bit of color or more if you like.
One of my favorite ways to color florals is to heat emboss and use Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. The key to doing this easily is the PAPER. I use Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock. The images and sentiment were stamped with Versamark ink and using Ranger Princess Gold Embossing Powder, heat embossed. I wanted a softer look to my magnolias so I used Pale Pink (No. 028) and Blush (No. 069) along with my waterbrush. For the leaves, I used Pale Dawn Gray (No. 098) and Pale Green (No. 045). Once I was done watercoloring the images, I used Haze Blue (No. 302) to trace my entire image. Then using my water brush, I lightly added water to blend out the color. Doing this one step, really adds some definition to your images. The panel was trimmed down and the upper right corner rounded with a 1/4" rounder. The panel was added to the left side of a note card with foam adhesive and some clear gems were added for a final touch.
