Hello Miss Inkers! Thanks for visiting us back on the blog, Ali here today with a sweet and simple keepsake bookmark card. If you haven't watched Jennifer McGuire's recent video on making easy bookmark cards, head over there and watch it for the technique for making these - it was the inspiration for my card today! I remember making so many of these cards some years ago - some ideas are so great that they never go out of style!
I have used the Magnolia Sympathy stamp set for the focal image on the bookmark. It was stamped on watercolor cardstock and colored with Distress Oxide Inks. I used Victorian Velvet, Spun sugar, Tea Die and Pummice Stone for the background coloring on the flower piece.
I splattered the background with the same inks using a wet paint brush. I stamped the sentiment with the Everyday Sentiments stamp set. I used Kraft card as the base card color as the browns and pinks really complemented each other.
These are so easy and such a lovely gift and card in one!
Thanks for joining me on the blog and see you again soon!
Ali xx
