Hello! It's Kari with a new video and card to share! I'm creating a Sweater Weather Valentine with the Sweater Weather Layering Stencil. I LOVE this stencil, let me show you why: Watch the video below or on YouTube.
I love the Sweater Weather layering stencil results. It has multiple layers that really makes your card turn out looking great! I started using a Misti and a grip mat to hold the paper and place the stencil in the corner to get it to line up perfectly with every layer. If you don't have these, Miss Ink has a corner edge stencil that will help you line it up as well (for a fraction of the price).
When choosing colors, I pulled some valentine pinks and reds and ended up only using a couple colors for this entire stencil!
For the hands, I used some Distress Ink in Tea Dye, then added some Antique Linen for the detailed layer on the hands.
Once I completed the layering stencil, I added some details to the background using the Coffee Rings stencil (in pink)!
I chose the Modern Typeset Frame die alphabet for the Love You sentiment. To get it lined up perfectly, the BRILLIANT Placement stencil worked great!
I finished it off by cutting the panel with the scalloped layer of the EIEIO Frame Die set. I think the Modern Typeset Frame Die set and the EIEIO Frame Die Set might be my MOST USED dies of all!!
Last, I added some pink pearls to finish it off and a hot pink background cardstock layer. Imagine all the color opportunities with this set! I hope you will watch the video for even more details. Thanks for stopping by!
