Hello, crafty friends!! It's Brenda from mypapercutcreations with you today for another installment of Step Up Your Cardmaking!! This time I have a fun, frameless shaker card to share!! The Hippo Hooray stamp set is perfect for this type of card!!!
Let's get started!!
I began by stamping the images from the Hippo Hooray stamp set onto white cardstock with InkOn3 Blackout Ink. I colored the hippos and fish with Copic markers: C 7, C5, C3, C1, C00, B16, B14, G05 and fussy cut them out.
I colored the background panel with the following Copics: YG17, YG03, YG01, B99, B97, B95, B93, B91. A white gel pen adds highlights to the bubbles.
I stamped the schools of fish onto the background with navy ink.
The background panel was slipped into an Avery Elle Large Stamp Pocket.
I added a mixture of sequins and confetti to the front of the cardbase. I used a combination of clear and iridescent sequins and confetti to emulate bubbles.
I trimmed off the end of the stamp packet and added score tape to the flap. The flap was folded over and secured to the back of the card panel. I adhered the panel to the front of a top-folding cardbase..
The sentiment, also from Hippo Hooray, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock and cut it into a strip. It was adhered, along with the hippos and fish to the front of the stamp pocket.
That's it!! This type of shaker is so easy, as there is no foam adhesive involved and it is relatively flat for mailing!!
Thanks so much for dropping by today!!! Have a great week and I'll see you next month!!
