Welcome back! I've got a fun Christmas card for you today using Slim's Whims and a few other things!
I started by creating a background using the Candy Stripe Stencil. I masked off the smaller lines to stencil the red and then moved the masks to the wider lines to add the red.
I cut the frame from Oh Happy Day from red metallic paper and used the negative piece as a mat around the striped panel. I stamped and colored the images from Slim's Whims (Slim and the bow) and cut them out. Then I cut a circle and added some strips to complete the "wrapping"... I wonder what could possibly be in there.
Finally the sentiment! I used the EIEIO alpha set and since I knew it wouldn't fit in the frame, and I didn't feel like adding skinny foam tape to all of the letters, I decided to mount them onto a piece of acetate and attached it to the frame. I built the second part of the sentiment using Season's Greetings and the 'Til from my stash.
That's it for me! I sure wish I could figure out what is inside Slim's present! I guess he'll find out at Christmas!
Come again soon!
