Hello! It's Kari with a new card and video to share. Today I'm making a Greetings From Mars Floating Shaker Card! Watch the video below or on YouTube:
This is a fun free-floating shaker card and easy enough to make! I started with the Hello From Mars stamp set. These characters make me laugh and that's why I love them. I colored two of them up with Copic Markers and cut them out with the coordinating die set.
Next I cut out the frame die from THIS die set with white cardstock. Then I stamped the "yip" sentiment from the Hello From Mars stamp set in green and red all around the frame. I added some acetate behind the frame and then put some double-thick foam tape around that to prepare to make the shaker card.
I foiled some black cardstock with silver foil using a star stencil. I thought it was a fun background, reminiscent of a galaxy background (giving a slight nod to the Mars set)!
Next I used some flexible fishing wire to add the martians to the foam tape, leaving a little slack so they could freely float around the shaker card. It's so funny to see how they move!
I hope you enjoyed this project today! Stop by and check out the video to see the full process. Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back with more cards to share soon.
